Rocket boom
we mess with your kundalini energy
Love the Tahoe commercial! Chevy ain’t gonna be buying no ads on RocketBoom!
Happy April Amanda…good show
sharp episode
Cool show! That Tahoe clip was terrific. Heck, they all were.
Why can’t America be cool like Denmark?…Hydrogen is free.
Eisner is the Devil.
Steve
I like it - pretty good Show…
say hello from good old germany…
Stella
I heard something was rotten in Denmark, but I don’t think this is it? Ohhh, to be cool…too bad I’m an American. Maybe it will change with midterm elections.
AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Great SUV ad.
Love me my RB!!!
Folks are taking up the challenge. Here are a 43 of them from the environmental community and some of my friends.

Please post the links over there on http://www.Network-centricadvocacy.net we are saving them to create a google video (youTube- space limits are killing us) so Chevy can’t delete them all.
Great stuff. Keep up the good work!
I usually hate commercials but that one was just great.
Great show, guys- Thanks for wearing our shirt!
D & T
so loved the tahoe comercial! think they’ll show it during the superbowl? ;)
Manda, who is Dr. Katz?
Amanda is a goddess! People keep dissing your show, but I love it. I get my daily fix of eye candy!
Rocketboom
a pimp-free zone?
In 2007 Denmark will debut the first all hydrogen city, and in a related note, both CNN and BBCi have announced pre-production schedules for their new documentary to be titled: “Hindenberg 2007 - The Sequel”.
I absolutely love the commercial. Good show.
Just a regular love-fest today!
I find it fascinating that some humans from a certain part of your planet would rather see the extinction of phylum chordata than the collapse of their local “economy,” whatever the heck that’s supposed to mean. How quaint.
~Cthulhu
P.S. Jesus’ vehicle would of course run on Jesus Juice, and Dr. Katz is one of The Great Old Ones of Comedy Central.

ah, great casual monday show with funny stuff i already forget. best show ever. i love maps and cars.
Am I the only red-blooded American left on this planet?!? I was not initially offended by Amanda “projecting” the VW brand (Pre-tuned in Deutcheland, V-Dub in da house); but the GM bashing was over the top. After spending the day with 60,000 urbanites in DC yesterday, and seeing what NYC did to the last coyote, I want to drive my SUV back to a red state!
p.s. Please bring back the wife-beater from Friday.
p.s.s. I’ve got to agree with Gary…Europe’s last hydrogen experiment didn’t end that well in New Jersy!
pythagoras has it right. Hydrogen production as it is now is much to energy intensive. Also, that piston graphic on the tahoe commercial was the displacement on demand that deactivates certain cylinders when not really needed, that saves gas. GM’s doing a better gob providing more efficiency. Your gripe seems to be with GM—or is it consumers who demand larger vehicles? If you are single, you don’t need the Tahoe, but I’d like to see a family with three kids towing their oveloaded U-Haul in a four cylinder VW…I do however, hope someday to see fusion/solar/wind energy be more of a factor. Funny commercial nonetheless.
real lightsabers are sold for $100-$200 at

well, almost real. but they have this humming sound effect when you move them.
Amanda, do you know about http://www.bonjour-america.com
the guy is fun. i have discovered recently his blog. Would be nice to make a blog crossing with him :-)
i told as a joke that a meeting between your 2 nice video blogs would be fun. Vinvin came on my blog yesterday saying he would have fun doing it.
Hope to see it soon!

Amanda: I just want to congratulate you for Rocketboom. I do look for it every weekday. I just wanted to tell you that while you are in Mexico again, you could ask ordinary people their opinion about Televisa. I don’t think you would get many cool comments about that TV company, specially at this time in Mexico. Congrats again.

I love my Chevy Mailbu anyone tries to take it from me will get a taste of the ‘42….
Beware
Here is a Tahoe commercial:

woot!
that is all.
that was awesome, hit them with their own fists!
hey chevy, stop hitting yourself!
cheers
Just to let you know the sabre fight was made for a contest amongst the StarWars fan film makers.
One of the guys that made it is Ryan-W
He now has a job as an associate effects artist at LucasArts.
WTF? That commercial is actually posted on a legitimate Chevy website? Isn’t anyone paying attention? It’s pretty funny, though. Maybe they’re working on the principle that “all opinions must be represented,” but I doubt it.
I have to say that I have a Chevy truck (just a LITTLE one!) but was not in the least offended by either commercial. I also have a ±40 mpg VW Golf and drive that around 95% of the time. I only use the truck when I have to haul my dogs or materials for home improvment around, which is rarely. I think the point it is that you shouldn’t drive a giant vehicle around every day by yourself, with little or no cargo. Those people know who they are.
Maybe attacking Chevy specifically was the wrong thing to do. Of course it’s not all Chevy vehicles, and not all Chevy customers who are the problem. I think I prefer the “young republican” approach, but of course that also tends to generalize…
Anyway, the world wouldn’t be any fun without stereotypes and generalization- then we wouldn’t have such things as “Chappelle’s Show” or “The Daily Show.”
Whoa Ho Ho Ho! Fine Show! So lively and energetic. And the Tahoe commercial was right on. You need to start somewhere in the corporate world and say something and do it with humor and a message and get the ball rolling–and you sure did. Tally-ho…
yay fun commercial

i thought earthlink ads started today..?
Jimster,
First, the article you mentioned proove how bad this ‘journalist’ is: European countries have VERY different immigration policies. For instance, Germany base it on the blood (are German those who are sons of German), France base it on ‘place’ (are French those who are born in France and ask for the Franch nationality, even if the parents are foreign citizens or illegal immigrants). But I guess it’s too hard for this journalist to understand the word ‘diversity’.
btw, he wrote: ‘Guest workers, penalties, sanctions and deportation are all a part of Europe’s mode of dealing with immigrants’ … tell me, Americans have no programs about ‘guest workers’? There are no sanctions about illegal immigration, or foreign workers without job permit? There are no Mexican people entered illegaly in the US that are sent back to their country?
And I liked the way some French riots are exagerated by your journalist to change it in ‘racial riots’, which were not true. I lived in both countries, and I can tell you: there are much more separations and opposition in an average city between latinos, blacks, asian, etc in the US than in Europe. And finaly, I’ve seen on CNN a 10.000 American demonstration against a new American law against immigrants.
Nothing is black or white, and all have problems about immigration, and more deeply because of the unevenness poor/rich countries.
And please, stop believing US journalists as if they were God … most of them have very biased analysis and don’t have a clue about what’s hapening out of the country.
Have more hindsight.
Is it just me or are you getting prettyer every day ?
Well keep going and continue this cool show !
Kisses from France…

Great, after New York and LA the third coast is… a frozen mountain in Canada? Or is that the only other place you can find a blue state? And it doesn’t seem very universally vloggy of you to stay so connected to the mainstream media centers.
Great commerical, but what was the story on Amanda’s shirt?
BTW - that Buy American BS is so 20th century. Car companies are international conglomerates. A GM truck likely has no more American content that a Toyota - built right here in California. You always have a choice to buy a vehical that dumps less green house gasses into the air. It doesn’t matter that GM would sell your future for a nickel — if you can’t figure out that you can make a better choice and that it matters that you do.
