  6. Dear Amanda Congdon,
Did you notice that your news were late again today? Buy a watch, tell news that more interesting(Bill Hemmer tells more interesting news than you) and say funny comments about politicians.

    Best Regards,

  10. Ok I’m trying to figure this out. This is from a guy that moved to city in a former comunist state (oh no, not that discussion again!)and now it appears that he does travelogues in communist states. Why didn’t he move to Prague when it was under communist oppression or does he only move to formerly comunist countries and is he scouting out another place to move to.Perhaps looking for hints that the country he is in at the moment will have a velvet revolution and he can move there? Does he know something we don’t know?
And what is the kid in the boat doing? Trying to find an outlet to the ocean so he can make his way to freedom? Or perhaps he is pensively thinking about when the father he has never known is going to get out of the re-education camp. All is not as we perceive it.

“RocketBoom…probably the best Vlog in the world…”

  12. Rocketboom is the slice of pizza on the breakfast buffet of the internet. It may seem out of place, and certainly unexpected, but if you just relax and try it, it’s delicious.

Keep it up, you two. :-)

  13. I kept on waiting for the joke, but it never came.

I love the eclectic quality of this blog, it keeps me guessing. I’m all for it and generally accept whatever it is at the end. Keep up the good work!

  14. Okay lifting the bottle of water with your feet and placing it on the coaster was impressive. But can you eat noodles with chopsticks using only your feet?

  19. Dear RBers,

A beautiful video - thank you! It’s nice to see something just because it’s beautiful. I’m sorry for all the people above that don’t seem to get it (unless they’re just trying to be funny?)

  22. The thing that impressed me most is that the guy has good arms and hands; talk about being ambidextrous! Also impressive is that he did not move the bowl down into the boat where it would not fall off. What an athlete.

  23. Wow, that was wonderful. I loved the way he did that. I always worry about not being fast enough or something, but this was proof that thoughtful filmmaking is still alive.

    Thanks again!

  25. Holy Moses! Those are some big ass flippers Congdon! Size 13? Wow! That guy could have used you in the front of that boat sticking those tootsies in and flappin’ around. Would have been home before dark, for sure!

They were attractive, but let’s just say there is no excuse for you falling down…ever!

  26. sanclemman, let me see if I can help you figure this out…

RB correspondent Graham Walker moves to Prague. Lives there. Gets to know culture and people. Expands mind. Travels to Vietnam. Apparently wanders the countryside in search of the life of the average vietnamese. Learns about the culture and the people. Discovers that scenes of peace, tranquility and work stretch across the world, no matter what the political leanings of a country’s government are (or were).

One final bit of enlightenment for you: In many places around this world, governments do not exist to serve the people. They often exist IN SPITE of the people, and exploit them in the name of governing them.

To know the PEOPLE of a given country is to know yourself and your own country better.

  27. thanks for posting this. regardless of the idiots out there who can’t figure it out, it seems that more folks understood that it’s okay to just take something in for itself and to be able to reflect on that for a minute might make the rest of the day more bearable.

the video reminded me about what’s wrong with Northeastern cities sometimes - the way that we’re so caught up in rushing around that we forget to just take that moment to refocus and enjoy what we’re in the middle of, and even take a walk in the park (blue ball or not).

Thank you for posting, and keeping on the edge by not feeling you have to be edgy all the time.

  28. I don’t care what the others wrote. I enjoyed it. Very peaceful and … interesting. Must try that rowing thing with the feet some day. It looks like it could be one of those “Build a better mouse trap …” ideas.

    Thanks RockeBoom and Amanda.
