Poor Amanda! I listened to the jawbone podcast this morning, they could not have asked dumber questions. Will you wear our stuff on your show? What item would you bring on survivor?
The jawbone show sounded like a 3rd rate local morning show from the middle of nowhere.
Do you have any crazy stalkers? Yeah, them.

Hey, Jason. Isn’t that the charm of podcasting? Third rate radio from nowhere.
Thanks for the support, Amanda. :)
Hoorah for Jawbone!
I’m with Josh. the ending PSA was very effective.
I mentioned the PSA at our blog. I did some research and found it’s by The Brooklyn Brothers agency. I couldn’t find a link for them on google, though. Any help?
And thanks for the support, Drew and Homey. We’re new to this podcasting thing. Cut us some slack. ;)
Duh.
Thanks Drew!
That first paper edit was awesome. You know the one that went right into the camera. I felt like it hit me in the face.
Also that PSA gave me the chills.
Amanda is GREAT!!!
Great episode! Yeah, Amanda is great!
The landmines ad was VERY well done. I think it actually gets the point across that landmines are a serious problem; people actually are affected by them.
Sadly, it seems that this Mac guy discovered he’s been found out. He deleted his LiveJournal today (not a bad move, considering he could easily lose his job for writing it).
a big fuck yeah to the PSA.
i think people in america don’t realize what people in other countries endure in their every day. this is all too much a reality in other places.
we are so lucky in this country.
It might just be me, I think podcasting should be used for innovative and provocative topics. Having Amanda on was a great idea and I enjoyed learning about the roots about Rocketboom and hearing about “The Restaurant,” but most of the questions were lame, the format is flat and the feel of jawbone is basic corporate radio that looks to offend no one. Podcasting, like blogs, should be used to incite change and push the envelope, not create the same homogeneous interviewing that we can hear on commercial radio.
I’m curious. What questions would you have liked us to ask Amanda, Jason?
Yea, that landmine add was shit. The USA is the only country that actually EXTRACTS all of its land mines used in war. In fact, the French have more unexploded ordinance in foreign countries than the Us does. The add should be aimed at the offending countries, not the US. But that’s not what teh add is about. It’s about blaming the US for every fucking thing that is wrong in the world; after all, were to blame ? right? It is also a veiled attack on American cuture.
I am *SO* glad that EVERY broadcster in this country had flat out refused to air that piece of shite. It only shows what the makers of that video WISH would happen here, for real. And ya know what? I don’t really care if there ARE landmines in Turdistan, that’s there fuckin’ problem!
Of course, that add will only further convince the American people that the UN is pure shit. So let them dig ther’re own grave, It’s only a matter of time before they rest firmly on the dustheap of history. Amen!
