Way neat! Great reminder of paris, great little “story.” Wonder what could be done in 8:39 from downtown NYC?
Another three minutes I’ll never get back…
The link doesn’t seem to load the entire movie. Anyone else having this problem?
By the way, anyone seen “Taxi” by Luc Besson? Opening is similar, but with a speeding Vespa in the foreground.
Amanda… drive safe!
Still un-nerves me to watch…
…those crazy French.
Okay… that… was… AWESOME! :)
This was kind of interesting, but it’s pretty far from what I visit rocketboom for.
that is one of my favorite films, it’s also something that inspired http://www.bmwfilms.com claude is the man.
cheers,
pt
1) Why was Amanda “making out” with herself instead of her beau LOL
2) Fun segue into the real film.
Busy, this may seem a grand departure from the usual format, but considering that RB is a video commentary on blogging, podcasting, vlogging, and net culture it is apropos. And their goofy intro was a lot more fun to produce I imagine than filming Amanda in front of a backdrop pressing at imaginary broadcast equipment! :D
Remind me not to let you drive when you come to ConvergeSouth. ;-)
I have the DVD of this film. Apparently Lelouch hired a professional driver to handle the car - he did not drive the car himself. I love the 1970’s ending - so very very French.
Wow, extraordinary bit of driving, that!
Is there any more backstory on how this film was made?
BTW, Mark - it’s a car, not a motorbike.
Cheers,
Ed T.
That was awesome. I saw another one like this once but it was done in Sweden.
that was super cool
Amanda, you’re sexy.
Keep up the good work.
Getaway in Stockholm?
It’s amazing. I never get sick of watching that. You’re opener was so perfect to. You very well replicated the lighting and filming technique and the comparison is fascinating, to me anyway. I think it’s the best tour of Paris I’ve ever seen. Where else can you see that much of paris in such a short time. I’ve now watched your clip about 4 times, and the original who knows how many. :)
