5 Tips Before Upgrading to Windows 7, 2053 comments

What I find so interesting with these audio guides is how they point to the future. Sooner or later, the Louvre’s standard audio guides will lose competition, and tourists from all over the world will be able to listen to the podcasts even before going there. They will be able to Know what the audio guide says, and then - while in the Louvre - they can connect the podcast to the artwork itself. Long tail, customized information, blabla. Very interesting; thanks for reporting this.
Sorry to be “that guy” again, but you should white-balance the camera, that would get rid of the bluish tint on everyone in today’s street video. Thought you’d like to know.
Amanda, crew. I am deeply sorry.
I no longer find amusing the casts, i don’t know what is missing… it is really a shame.
They have become… boring. At least for me.
I hope I could come back one day to see how wrong I am this afternoon.
Luis.
I wish they either had something like this for the SF MoMA or that it wasn’t so far of a drive to NY from SF so I could check this out. Either way I likes, and I linked.

Rocketboom Yea!
-Luis I understand what you’re trying to say. When I experienced Rocketboom I noticed goofy video clips with a touch of nerd news. Now Rocketboom is a bit more of the news and less goof. I like where Rocketboom is going, but don’t want to see they completely extinct their past. See you tomorrow morning Amanda!
this was a great show, nice work gang! i’m working on a how-to with the ipod photo that might make some neat “sound walks”.
cheers,
pt
yeah, I agree this was boring. I mean, you should have made them run in the street or something. Make them work for it, ya know? have someone throw tomatoes at them from above while they try to give their spiel!
A couple of things:
1) Can you start naming your WMV files consistently so I can find them on my iRiver PMC-120 Portable Media Center? It doesn’t understand the concept of playlists for video, and lumps all file into one alphabetical list. The latest files are named, “Monday…”, “Tuesday…” etc. This is terrible for me! If you named them “_rb-Monday…” they’d automatically jump to the top of my list. Better yet - “[rb] 050608 Wednesday”. And also - the meta file description (as it displays in media player) is what gets displayed, not the filename, so I’d recommend they be the same.
2) I don’t like it when you gloss over a site you recommend - like if you said, “Hey InteractiveNYC’s blog is really cool!” and you throw the paper at the camera and don’t say anything about *why* it’s cool. I’d love to see you tap a button to show a representative screenshot (I know you can’t read the text, but a thumbnail can show design sense) and just a sentence dedicated to why we should care.
Outside my criticism for today, I’d say keep up the good work, I love your program! Thanks in advance for listening…

rockin’ vlog. keep up the good work.
everyone’s a critic in these comment threads lately. lets not get carried away folks. let the boom do its thing.
I love the new formats rb experiments with. It’s interesting to see the show be different and veer off the normal routine.
rb is only getting better.
Great show this morning. I’m sending links to it to some of my friends affiliated with the local Frist Center for the Visual Arts (same family, but not the Senator).
I didn’t catch the url for the podcasts, did I miss something?
tnx
Mitch
We most definitely create our own realities, now we’re becoming more aware of that fact.
What’s with the guy on the street standing to your left during the art mobs interview? A pinstripe oxford with a sweater tied over the shoulders? You can’t let Poindexters like that get any time on Rocketboom.
Great story. One of my favorites…
