so here’s the thing. constantinople was never really the legitimate home of the roman soul. i mean, really - who ever heard of a real roman kicking the dust off his freshly-lacquered sandals in a place called Byzantium? wasn’t that for those pagans from the near east anyway? and what’s up with a 7 year old son-of-a-spaniard thinking he could rule a overdressed city like constantinople in the first place??? geesch, you’d think this board would be populated with brigh…

oh, sorry. i thot i was in the “ICLAUDISBOOMIUS” vlog.

amanda - VERY nice montage of a lost little girl wacking out in the middle of the constantinople of the new world in the eve of our crassest religious-cum-commerce celebration…

  7. Another troubling instance of the unbridled left-wing bias in which this appalling vlog glories.

    But wasn’t it pretty?

Wheels Amanda, and a very Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Wow! This makes Christmas in Atlanta look like crap. Great, great show today. Makes me want to travel up to NYC for the holidays. And firing at me all the different holidays scared me at the end… please don’t do any of that again.

    Merry _________!

    Yo, Mr. Jesus Lives:

Jesus is not the reason for the season.

The tilt of the earth in its orbit around the sun is the reason for the season.

  20. For some reason I missed a lot of the christmas feeling this year due to too much stress with my clients.

Seeing this and the christmas fair here in Aachen tonight with all the lights makes it a little more christmas again! :-)

Merry Christmas or whatever you celebrate :-)

    PS: Great music selection!

I’m sort of sad that I don’t live in new york. So much to do there, you can just walk around and have fun. Stupid Oregon doesn’t have anything like that… :( Nothing interesting, nothing tech, nothing fun.

  39. Hey…to whom it may concern…today is December 24th…no VLOG today, what the fizzuck? Just kiddin! In all seriousness…Amanda do you ever read email that is sent to ya? I went to your site and emailed ya and well, I do know it is like Christmas and like everyone’s busy but did ya ever check your email and if ya did what is your email address? And another complaint…I love the site, except your comments section…callme simple but I hate the fact that I have to check out coinciding days for the coinciding comments…just an idea, a comment page that is continual? Or am I just being an arseholey?
Meanwhile on the other side of the world…I had to tell ya something…recently while at The Rockefeller Center rink, My woman & I had a blast! So romantic, meanwhile as our time was up…I was saying, “Hey one more go (a)round!” So I was trying to show off and go fast…right in that little rink with like a thousand people in that tiny place with around what 5 thousand people in that little space…where was I know, yeah so halfway round my last, my skate hit a crack in the ice and up then inevitably down I went! Moral of the story: Let me know when ya figure it out!

Amanda and Rocketboom, I recently became addicted, and I miss ya today!
    Best Regards,
    “You eat it!”

  43. Maybe everyone missed this but: the tenor of the Christmas piece seemed clouded by the recent Transit Strike. The empy sidewalks, normally crowded with people, the stream of just taxis whizzing by in the background, the empty store plazas, the lonely plazas, displays-emptiness and the amazing choice of a transcribed Tchaikovsky piece with that minor key muted trombone that truly captured this feeling. There was not sadness in the beginning of this, but disappointment that New York couldn’t be New York at Christmas even though there was Christmas being offered everywhere for anyone who could get there to see it. I. Now go back and watch it again from that perspective and you will see what I mean. t was a beauful piece all the way through that told a great story. Masterful work.

  44. That was simply lovely…Christmas in NYC! I’ve been in bed with the dreaded cold and have been “quarantined” since Friday, so it is kind of a quiet Christmas for me. Thank you–this really cheered me up! 8-)

Holly jolly merry berry ho ho ho!

Have a great holiday, Drew and Amanda!

As a Guy from a small town on the Canadian Prairies New York is usually thought of as a gritty, gang filled, CSI episode. You portrayed it as a much nicer, more pleasant place. Looks like I need to add it to my list of places to visit.
