the exits are most entertaining! great stuff.
as always.
I wonder what the couple was writing to each other on the Internet before meeting and finding out they were mother and son. I can’t imagine the feeling of intense confusion and disgust that must have been gone through their heads. To make matters worse… I just read the mother was still married to his father! YEESH!
That Chewbacca site is ridiculously awesome… I have a few people to send that to!

Welcher Krieg auf Weihnachten? Ja schreit nichts Weihnachten sowie haarige Männer in Santa Kappen….
Oh, sorry. That bit from the “German speaking part of Europe” had me all tingly.
But Amanda, why limit your thinking? Latin translation for the YMAX toaster is JUST the beginning. Why not think REALLY big … a visual RB in Egyptian hieroglyphics with all the cool moving parts would fit perfectly on my new ultra-hip retinal-implant video phone…
Have to run - I just got an IM from my mother-in-law’s sister’s cousin’s aunt who thinks I’m a school boy from Topeka. Here comes Santa Claus, Her comes Santa Claus… o
Ha! I love the Chewbacca ytmnd…too bad you spelled the great Wookie’s name wrong ;)
…and I see you’re having fun with the camera more and more everyday, nice work.
Another great installment of RB kicks off my first week of Christmas break.
Ooh… the Spanish are taking over. Nutcracker! RUUNNNN…!!!
Fo shizzle,
Werd.
Ana. :)
Good story about Univision (pron: oo nee vee see own) & Televisa. There is indeed a huge world out there and it is coming our way - FAST! People who stand at the borders with guns will not stop the “Hispanic Wave” approaching on the internet. Time to adjust to our new world!
Rocketboom
More fun than the hubble telescope
Excellent you are bookmarked Great Fun
Love the transitions between the stories! Keep it in the show as a regular feature! I love to see you dash across my screen! LOL
Take care Amanda and al.

Hey… how can I become a rocketboom field correspondant?
brem
Interesting!! I found this site from a linked story on Drudgereport. Could I be viewing a vblog of Drudge soon? I have you bookmarked.
hm that mom and son story was cute, but um…
searching google/news for this story results in well 3 links, all from a weekly world news story.
Well at least lets see what snopes has had to say about this non existent thing…
The Weekly World News is a supermarket tabloid specializing in sensational
fiction, not a legitimate news source.

oh.
Get better and better …
THAT WAS SWEEET!!!!!
I will be telling all to check this site out!!!!
AMANDA RULES!!!
Amanda, I’m not like all the rest! I REALLY do love you! I was fooling myself thinking that I just came here for quirky comedy. But then it hit me like a ton of bricks that I keep comming back because you’re sooo….ooops, the toaster oven just went off. Later!
Uh… ok.
I think the momma and son dating story is fake. There is some information around the Internet that said the story originated from a British Tabloid. I wouldn’t put too much stock in it. Amanda is going nuts with her editor… whats going on???
There was something missing from those (awesome!!!) transitional “swooshes”: the sound of breaking glas and metal junk, that Amanda just crashed into, when she was whizzing out of shot!
Would’ve made some nice slapstick. Well, maybe another time… brillant idea anyway.
And Amanda: There is something to be learned from that mother/son-story: You should be realy careful dating little blue balls…
great show today,
daniel B.
from beyond the sea
Last week I couldn’t watch Rocketboom.. too busy.
Just saw today’s episode, refreshing!
I just wish dailies were longer, so dull watching CNN after this!
What about all the other people who are not christian?! Bleh
I have no religion so yeah, but I still get coporate made holidays :D Like the gift giving during christmas——s Yay—-y!
Hey, someone is experimenting with kooky transitions.
Methinks you fancy yourself a superhero with those moves.
Do it right and get a lycra suit with a cape.
Love pimp my cracker and para skiing!
Illegals know how to make a video? Wow, Bill Gates really knew what he was doing! Total idiots who cant even speak English can use computers and produce videos!
This is very cool. I’m a Mac user and you obviously are too. We’re gonna take over the world. We’re getting people off of Internet Explorer, and soon we’ll have them off Windows too.
Rocketboom is awsome! Why can’t the folks who program all our cable channels aquire some of this ‘freshness’?!
Great energy today. Gotta see more flash like that.
Amanda Congdon congratulations, you visited Mexico City. Did you visit the Angel of Independence, the Zocalo, and the Azteca Stadium? Did you know that Mexico City is a city of contrasts? Mexico City has first world homes almost the same as the USA where I used to live in the southern part of the city I had a house that was half an acre with 3 floors made of concret that right concret not the wooded homes like in the USA. My house was locate in an upper class neighborhood close the Ajusco. The sad thing is that most people in Mexico City live in bad homes only like 15% of the population have upper class homes like I did. This city has everything Walmart, Sams Club, and of course we have excellent cars imported from the USA, Europe and Japan.
Mexico has also a state called the state of Nuevo Leon that is very rich. Monterrey, the capital of the state of Nuevo Leon has a ranking of 32 in standards nof living in the world. That´s right better than Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee combined. An interesting thing about Monterrey is that is a very safe city where you can go out at 2:00 AM and there is no roberries. Hey Amanda I recommend you to visit Monterrey, Nuevo Leon on the northern part of Mexico and Saltillo.
Unfortunately 6 years ago I had to move out of Mexico City to the USA. I go to Mexico City at least twice a year.
Mexico is not only compossed of Mestizos(native american with spaniard)it also has whites, native americans and very few blacks in the coasts. Of course the majority is Mestizo.
Whazzat about “the phantom of possibilities?” Love that fish.
This came from
http://intel.luzcamaraenter.com/blog
Andy Baron and Amanda Congdon de Rocketboom.com responded with substance and experience the questions, and its enthusiasm towards the diffusion of these formats of communication became evident. I rescue some notes of which it was said:
“some years ago, the only audio-visual content that was within reach of people, came through the screen of TV or the cinema. The channel was very estrecho/pobre: one programs behind another one, in an only channel, during 24 hours. Today these technologies of digital video allow that the phantom of possibilities is extended until the infinite and the programs coexist and hope to that you want to see them.”
- Andy Baron
“the traditional means must understand that these new formats are not going to replace them. They must let fear to him to the technological innovations and adopt them to evolve harmoniously”
- Amanda Congdon
“Not only one can publish what wants, but that it can give feedback on which sees. I have a selection of sites where I hope to receive quality contents, and if they do not fulfill the expectation I can say ‘ to Acquittal that video to them, this is not what I wait for of tà‘ and if sufficient voices rise, insurance will be an answer ”
- Federico Unda
(Any error of translation or interpretation, me lets it know)
Dear Rocketboom, that was just a classic episode today. I join Daniel B.: more special effects please! Kind regards from Europe, not the German speaking part…
Use the transitions , at least one per episode.
I just wanted to stop by and say WELCOME to the TiVolution.
I just caught the first Rocketboom Video Blog on TiVo. I tell you what buddy boy.. there ain’t nuthing better than Rocketboom on the big flatscreen with the stereo surround sound.
Congrat’s on a great visionary partnership with TiVo. I look forward to many many happy returns!
Jeff
Hi babelfish,
Altavista translated “espectro” as phantom or specter, but it should’ve translate it as “spectrum”.
I wrote the piece, and I wanted to express “digital video technologies widen the spectrum of possibilities and -contrasting with regultar TV- shows coexist on the same channel and wait for you to start them”.
Also, estrecho/pobre means narrow/poor and in the Amanda quote, “the traditional means” should’ve been translated as “the traditional media”.
Cheers to everyone and I hope to see you Rocketboomers next time you come to Mx (to the awards ceremony, I heard?).

Top.
Did you say back-end servicing?
The mom-and-son story you linked to describes how they were all over the news; don’t you think it a little bit odd that Google doesn’t have a single French news story on these two?
Or, as somebody else put it: cherchez Daniel Anceneaux sur Google… (en tout cas j’ai cherché avec les mots clés et j’ai rien trouvé, pour moi ca pue le fake !)
i love the new enter/exit strategy! AWESOME!!
This was the first show I tuned into and it’s the best. Those wacky exits rock.
