Does anyone know what that gadget on the guys desk is? The cube with moving lights inside? Way cool.
Hey,
I was typing an email today and attempted to type “Rocketboom”. Due to the low caffeine content of my blood, I accidently skipped over the first syllable in my head and typed instead, “Room”. Whoa, that’s crazy! Then I thought to myself… hmmm, what if I swapped the placement of the two syllables and then used the result to form the closest-sounding real word?
The result: RoomBucket.
I am such in a weird mood today… Now, more coffee!
p.s.
Thanks for the shout yesterday!
p.p.s.
RoomPocket would also work, but I liked the spittoon imagery
Nice report Clark!
I am also wondering about the orbs of light…
I also want to know what that cube of spinning lights is! That was the best part of the interview! =)
Great report, nice surprise seeing Clark - last time I was mr. saturn was when we shot the RCN spot way back in ‘99
Bush! Bush!
Boring, Boring
Did you see the cube on the guy’s desk. It had a bunch of lights chasing each other around. Anyone know where I can get one?
Great show on Thursday! Seems like Amanda always looks best on thursdays. Must be the weekends that are approching. interesting.
Yes, the cube of lights was cool. Get over it. That cut-up bush song was fantastic. That young fellow has a blindingly bright future, Making us laugh while we stare at his cubes.
Love the white tank todayt Amanda
No… seriously. What is the glowing cube of mystery? I need a couple of them.
Wow, cool little interview. Funny to see my own footage on Rocketboom with Clark talking over it. Surreal! Just for the record, the game in my video is “In the Groove”, a game very similar to DDR but (as you see in my video) you need to use your hands sometimes. Menage a Catra on the Asses of Evil!
Here’s a link to my “In the Groove” interview which Clark sampled (with permission):

The line was “I belive that god made me a woman, and this !@#$%’s voice must be heard”
hi, thanks for the comments. the light thing is something Todd made and designed himself. As we spoke he was soldering chips onto circuit boards :)
He actually made a model for Disorient camp (at Burning Man, on the Esplanade somewhere) and they will have about a 100 of them out there. He made one that can be worn around the neck and then a bunch that live in the plastic cubes which will light one of their inflatable domes, Prog, at camp Image Node. He’s quite a master of this kind of stuff, please go visit them at burning man! Also, I hope to have more of an extended interview (in which he explains more about some of this stuff, etc) for those who want to know more and to watch a really long interview :) on http://zipzapzop.com either on Friday or Monday… cheers and thanks to Rocketboom for featuring the story. I encourage you to check out the Bush Cutup songs downloads at http://imagenode.org there is some more hilarious stuff in there….
Some more replies:
Joe: thanks, and that was one of the most ironic quotes I may have ever seen.
Lee: 2:56!
jmac: who are you?
jonner: follow the lights! they will lead you to all that is unböring.
Zadi: you are a star! and yeah, it’s “i believe that god made me a woman…”
and Amanda: nice white tank!
I want that cube! (and that white tank top) (and bush, bush (no revolution though))
to give credit where credit is due, i didn’t make the two songs used in the interview — they’re ‘Dick is a Killer’ by RX, and ‘Fuzzy Math’, by The Bots. They’re the best 2 Bush pieces I’ve heard. I have a number of cutup tracks, but they aren’t as good. As for the blinky box, yup, I made it. They aren’t for sale at the moment, as there are only six of them.
I once had a friend who took the original Doom game and skinned it, making some of the monsters meow like cats as they chased after you…
i always feel so important when amanda give me the nod…
Hey Rob, here’s a site full of content that I think you might like (and definitely need): http://m-w.com
Seriously though, I thought this interview was a good look at “mod culture”. Taking “top-down” media and making it your own. Sure, the guy didn’t make the game (or the copy of the game on PC), but that’s why it’s called “modding” (short for “modifying”). Remixing physical and data objects can be fun, educational and, in this case, a political statement.
Hi~ This is south korea…
Wow your broadcating service is really cool and creative~~
I found it quite impressive so that i feel am impulse to start my own vlogging service.
