Great video (and music) Graham ! Welcome to Rocketboom ! Look forward to more of your international reports. BTW, what was that image (before the cute little girl singing) with the man tying a strip of material to some large object?
Great video from Tibet. And happy belated anniversary Rocketboom!
Nice to see a new face to Rocketboom! I have been enjoying the show for about 4 months now and havent missed a day. I lve the twist on the news and the video blogging style that goes with the show. I think it would be awsome to see an episode with more of a behind the scenes look at rocketboom (little more in depth then your 200th ep.). Would also like to know what the image was of with the guy tying on the cloth. It looks like some sort of playground eq. gone wrong in some post Apocalyptic world. but sadly alot of the world looks that way if you actually care to look, which sadly many don’t.
Thanks for the comments. prayer flags are the multi-coloured flags and as they ‘flap’ in the wind the prayer written on them is ‘read’.
The white silk scarfs are for good luck. When you drive in Tibet, you will see a grouping of silk scarfs and prayer flags at the highest physical point in a area. That man in the video was our driver who was putting the scarf up for good luck in our journey across the land.
Thanx graham that is outstanding footage. I’m in a public place and shed a tear.
Thanx Rocketboom for opening your doors, portals, to others, to other places or our world.
Everyday.
Amazing, buddy. Me sister in Bangkok is gonna love your vlog.
Thanks Rocketboom
Cheers from Toronto
great site, greetings from Poland
Great slice of life video of Tibet. I got more “feel” for the region in your two minutes than any other film I’ve seen of Tibet. Bravo. I can imagine the one year of editing work you did.
