Wow! You made my day!
Coldplay did a video like that too. IT was for the song The Scientist, But it wasn’t one take however.
This video was great. I like casual fridays.
Coldplay - the scientist what a great song, thanks Drew..
Very cool. I found RB two days ago and am still working through the archives. Well, “working” is not the correct term. More like enjoying. This Jack Johnson video is incredible. Oh, Amanda, you are absolutely adorable. *swoons*
Drew, have you seen that before? That’s the first thing I thought of when I saw Amanda laying on the ground.
Jack Johnson’s “On & On” was on my 2004 list for my favorite and most played CDs for the year.
Its even better than the new album “In Between Dreams”

Very cool video. Thanks rocketboom. It’s neat to see the effect before the cause.
Drew:
I do come off as rather suspicious don’t I? I hope it didn’t seem like I was accusing you of something you didn’t do. I guess when you’re recording things backwards, some things will ALWAYS look cool (the basketball, jumping, etc.)
I did a little search for backwards music videos because I remembered seeing ‘The Scientist’ last year.
Spike Jonze directed rap group Pharcyde in an interesting backwards/forwards video several years ago, called ‘Drop’. The group learned to sing the lyrics backwards, and then danced/walked/sang backwards during the shoot. The result is they look like they are singing and moving forwards, but all the background people are moving backwards. It’s really neat. Too bad I don’t like rap all that much.
Also, since downloading all three music videos, I’ve been watching them forwards and backwards in Quicktime, feeling really amazed. :)
Don’t forget the “Weird Al” parody video “Amish Paradise” He did that video backwards too. I couldn’t find a link. Sorry.
Sorry I was wrong. It’s like one or two shots. That’s what I get for remembering the Entertainment Tonight interview more than the video itself. And man, this video is lame.

I just came across your blog and love it. But I’m curious, what type of video camera do you use? The image quality is very good (as is the content ;] ).
Have never seen these guys in a video but have listened to their music.
Great job, really enjoyed it.
Always stop by on the wknd’s to see what’s new.
Thanks Amanda & your behind the scenes crew.
You Rock Girl.
