the boorish flow of her record regurgitation on the infamous d&d game was so painfully agonizing ….. i spent most of the time imagining what she would look like with her shirt over her head

  2. puddin437 says:

    WRRRRROOOOONNNNGGGGG!!!!!!

White Dwarf is the magazine of the Games Workshop, not WotC. It has nothing to do with Dungeons and Dragons. Get you facts straight Jeez.

  3. ModeLTU says:

I remember that story where D&D was banned in some prison due to “promoting gang activity”.
    That was simply hilarious

  4. roofboy179 says:

The Dungeons and Dragons episode of Community is something everyone should see, and should win an Emmy. It was so good.

  5. Odyssey00 says:

i played a dwarf druid named Veridis, he tries to be mature as an old dwarf but goes in the category of distracted funny (joey friends like) and his predilect form is a kapibara with snowlike magic haha

  6. blightproductions says:

@ModeLTU I have a good friend, who credits his involvement with D&D in prison as the main reason he did NOT get involved with any gang relates issues.

  7. GaiashKetoji says:

@fockya How creative of you. No one has ever thought to use the word gay to insult people before. Three times in a row no less (with a typo the third time). Never have I seen such a unique method of insulting people in all my life. Your parents must be so proud.

  8. SupaShang says:

I’m waiting for all the WoW fan boys to start crying that their game is better, and that this is a WoW clone! :P

  9. thefranstastics says:

I can’t even tell you how many hours I spent playing D&D in my youth. Let’s see, 4 Sat. nights + 4 Sun. nights per month x 12 months x 10 years = virgin til 21

  10. jawayetti says:

Jeremy Irons = Terrible, almost comedy gold over-actor. Sadly, D&D was his crowning jewel and launched him into laughable obscurity.

  11. Paldasan says:

When you see a dragon run, but you only need to run faster than the idiot…err victim..umm fighter, yeah fighter in fullplate.

  12. SoulLintu says:

My Elf Wizard would most likely firstly be amazed by the dragon, and then hide, not run.

Opening doors and chests is Rogue’s work btw, not for elegant casters … xD

  13. SupaShang says:

@mtganimemiikefan I’d say WoW is more an Everquest clone myself. D&D (the actual board game) is much much older than both, and basically laid out the “modern” rpg framework we see in popular computer mmo today. Maybe people missed my point on that WoW fanboys ALWAYS compare other mmo to WoW; old or new.

  14. BrutusAlbion says:

@Fullmetalrunaway because the only good social behavior is when your in a group chanting gospel songs.

  15. Accisma says:

@Milky1944 actually White Dwarf originally covered role playing games like D&D, back in the 80s. This was long before it became a Games Workshop only publication.

  16. salamanderdeath says:

I suck at D&D because I have no imagination :(
It’s also why I can’t play minecraft alone, because I just dig and then can’t think of anything to do. Waaaaah.

  17. Hulkmania316 says:

@BrutusAlbion well the setting is in our world and it gets into your mind, you start feeling you are in the game when aparently you are not. You start to convince people to do what you want and you start to feel you have powers.

  18. so4eyo says:

the boorish flow of her record regurgitation on the infamous d&d game was so painfully agonizing ….. i spent most of the time imagining what she would look like with her shirt over her head

  19. RandomGamer1911 says:

I hope you’re playing the older versions. The newer D&D rulesets suck.

+ I killed a demigod in D&D, shit was so cash!

  20. sasukeichigo12 says:

Molly I’m pretty sure My necromancer who hates people would love to play with you <3 Do you like the undead…because we do…. :3

  21. MrCaltec says:

To much news, not enough role play Molly! :) J.K. enjoyed this but why do dragons always get a bad rap? Its prejudice damn it!

  22. dakkon10 says:

    Ugh youtube, seriously
?!? Why does 360p load almost the entire video instantly, but 480 and 720 barely move?!? Switch to another video in 1080p and it flies…ugh!

    Oh yeah, love you molly!

  23. toxi87 says:

@foxh8er i have a buddy that carries around his character sheet from when we were in high school with him almost always.

  24. Accisma says:

@onkelferno actually White Dwarf originally covered role playing games like D&D, back in the 80s. This was long before it became a Games Workshop only publication.

  25. Accisma says:

@puddin437 actually White Dwarf originally covered role playing games like D&D, back in the 80s. This was long before it became a Games Workshop only publication.

  26. realblaqueandstuff says:

@BrutusAlbion Its a modern horror game and has good emphasis on roleplay over combat, at least initally, and had a neat thing of “Play the monsters” that was pretty new when it cam eout.

That said, Vampire: the Requiem (the sorta reboot the company did) I think is a better game mecahnically and for horror. And also that either is a bit apples and oranges, as D&D and either Vampire game kind of go for completely different genres and goals.

  27. realblaqueandstuff says:

@kavinsky909 Sounds like she’s playing 4e to me, with her stabbity rogue and Perception reference. <_<

  28. 83244genesis says:

I find Molly’s dress/shirt combo to be very classy. Hopefully it will help to keep the lewd viewer comments to a minimum.

  29. Accisma says:

@DietDrMario actually White Dwarf originally covered role playing games like D&D, back in the 80s. This was long before it became a Games Workshop only publication.

  30. TheSolitaryPoet says:

When the Pokémon TCG was first brought to America, it was only published by Wizards OTC for a very short time before Nintendo pulled the plug and changed publishers. This was due to the backlash from the “Conservative Right” and the associations people were making with D&D.

  31. joeshcosmo says:

I wanna play D&D with you Molly. I have the both of those 1977 Advanced Manuals shown in this video but I’ve only played a few times because I don’t have any friends who like D&D like I do.

  32. elizlucas says:

Wow, my sister just stopped by a gaming shop this morning and they had copies of pretty rare AD&D books and then I hop on youtube and see this video…the signs are telling me to play more D&D!

  33. JosieNoPussycats says:

I love D&D so much. I’ve played with my family and family friends since I was like 8. I’m a changeling rouge which is an awesome combination and I highly recommend it if you’re DM lets you play less common races.

  34. PersonalJesus348 says:

@Fullmetalrunaway Because I want to strangle the cunt that killed off my character! I mean what the hell is D&D?

  35. biggphartX says:

I’m particularly fond of my 4th Ed human paladin of Kord (slayer of the dead paragon/Avatar of War epic builds) In a few weeks our group should be staring a pathfinder campaign. I can’t wait

  36. Otakkun says:

I don’t get how people say this breeds anti-social behavior. You physically need other people to play this thing. Unlike COD where you can just hop online and melt your brain. I haven’t ever played D&D, but it might be a fun way to meet new people. ^^

  37. jakalair says:

I am impressed. That was a very well researched and factual representation. If you could please teach the people who do “news” on TV how to do that. I would be very appreciative.

  38. LiberAnarchy says:

Are you going to SNEAK ATTACK the dakrness? :)

When opening things like boxes or chests, I will lift the side that is furthest away from me or get behind the chest. Yeah, I’m paranoid.

    Great video.

  39. Probewitch says:

Now if you can just get across the message that it’s a game, and the things involved do not carry across into real life; especially not into the workplace.

  40. gulllars says:

2:45 “playing dungeons and dragons is also known to be awesome” :)
The most (publicly) famous D&D player may be Vin Diesel.

  41. indianajonesanaheim2 says:

Aha, last weekend you liked a boring video about Dungeons and Dragons, and now RKB uploaded a vid talking about D&D.

  42. Gameboy39 says:

20 million players who’ll admit it, that is…
D+D sounds like something that might have appealed to me – shame it’s fairly uncommon in the UK nowadays…

  43. Gameboy39 says:

20 million players who’ll admit it, that is…
D+D sounds like something that might have appealed to me – shame it’s fairly uncommon in the UK nowadays.

      • Gameboy39 says:

Yes, I know that I could find it if I tried. I don’t really have any time to spare on things like that anymore. I just wish that it had been as deeply ingrained into UK culture as it was into US culture. Childhood me might never have done anything else!

  44. AegisK says:

Its better than most RP games released today. Mostly because its different every time you play, and doesn’t just say that.

  45. Birdboy029 says:

If I were mememolly, I’d ask Rocketboom to disable comments.
Thumbs up/down are good enough feedback. I wouldn’t be able to handle a lot of the comments.

  46. cattwister says:

Wendy? “I’m not going to hurt you, Wendy…” <== most of Molly’s PC combat encounters just *have* to start this way…

  47. ModeLTU says:

@blightproductions Well, that’s the whole joke :P It’s hilarious to think that playing a game, widely accepted as ‘nerd only’ activity would be banned in prison

  48. arad7613 says:

@jakalair She could also give them a lesson or two about how to present.

Seriously, compare her on this video to all the talking heads on TV, and you realize that she is so much better than 99% of them.

  49. SharpBloodyMoon says:

@arad7613 That’s why she isn’t on TV – they get intimidated by our beloved Molly, and that’s dangerous for her! Also, since sharing is caring, and the internet is quite a bit wider than TV(even if you watch it on a widescreen) isn’t it better like this? I mean, more people get to see her :3

  50. SharpBloodyMoon says:

`Oh wow, a coincidence! I also have a halfling rogue, her name’s Morgana, and she’s also good at stabbing. Just thought I’ll let you know. And, by the way, role-playing girls rule(this includes me :3)!

P.S. Why does YT try to correct me when I write halfling? It’s racist!

  51. BrokenBjartur says:

I would stab Wendy with my _special_ dagger *ZING*
    __
Naw, just kidding. This was a great episode, Molly.

  52. DeeperBlueX16 says:

    @jakalair

No, see, the point of news is to get a strong emotional response. Facts don’t help with that, false accusations do! Besides, if you want facts, you should probably read more and turn off your TV.

  53. DangerRuss666 says:

Actually, no, RPGs drew their inspiration from Sword&Sorcery style fantasy fiction, NOT JRR Tolkien, that’s a common widespread misconception.

  54. 52766 says:

Hang about! But 2:31 shows White Dwarf magazine, which is (and always has been) Games Workshop, not D&D. Am I right?

  55. Dutchtablegames says:

@52766 I believe it was actually made for Rpg’s..,which is what warhammer started of as, if I remember correctly)

  56. d3st88 says:

Molly talking about DND.. I believe this is the point when Anime characters start to shoot blood from their noses.

  57. conchatuya says:

When you say: “magazine” the video shows the cover of White Dwarf. That magazine is about Warhammer, a different game.

  58. ChronicMetamorphosis says:

Saying that D&D instigates depression, anti-social and immoral behavior is taking the responsibility of action away from the individual and using D&D as a scapegoat.

If anything, it promotes rhetorical skills, critical thinking, creativity and mathematical logic.

Who was the DM on that campaign?

  59. JoeSomebody2 says:

I KNOW that video in which you used the giant green d20. Titled “Player’s POV: Cheating at Dungeons and Dragons D20 dice rolls” and uploaded by wastelandtv2 (sub channel wastedmodesto). If it’s not known already, I’m a fan of their channel. ;)

Surprisingly it’s not listed in the show credits page, but it’s the same video alright. Whatever the case, will be letting the fellows know about this ASAP. :D

  60. 2Draco39 says:

Don’t run away from the dragon, he will think of you as a toy instead of food!!! If he swallows you whole you may still have the chance of killing him from the inside with your stabby dagger… where did you go to school???

  61. bruenor82 says:

    she said ACROBATICS and PERCEPTION

and the 4th ed is oversimplified….

    SHE PLAYS PATHFINDER!!!!!(or 3.5…)

  62. shigawahhhhh says:

White Dwarf isn’t anything to do with D&D. Although Games Workshop does owe a fair bit of what they build their games off of to D&D.

  63. M1kab0sh1 says:

Why is it that Molly seems at her sweetest and cutest when ever she’s talking about commiting violence?

  64. lox12 says:

I always carry my d20 around, when i attempt to do anything i roll it, to see if i will fall/choke/break somethink or simply fail…

  65. Xanrry says:

The only successfull campaign I’ve even been in, we killed a white dragon and fooled a red one, not to mention killing a balor :D btw 3.5 is way better than 4 andI haven’t played any of the earlier versions (but I’d be willing, lol)

  66. Desmaad says:

Keep in mind, there are other games similar to D&D that are often considered better. I’m partial to GURPS, which is less genre specific than D&D and uses normal dice.

  67. TornadoCreator says:

Ooooh… I have to jump on you here Molly… (Oh yeah, take it baby). White Dwarf isn’t a D&D magazine, it’s a Warhammer magazine, completely different.

  68. goodyfun says:

Whenever I play D&D I play as a Druid so that I don’t have to kill monsters, but I can make them sleep. I’m a nice Druid. Other players always hate me! :D

  69. goodyfun says:

@xin0 Men are polite and often very shy of asking a woman out on a date in Japan, and women struggle to find men to be their boyfriends because of how shy they can be. What on earth are you talking about?!

  70. THX--1138 says:

@ all those saying White Dwarf has nothing to do with D&D, you need to do your research. These days it’s purely Warhammer Fantasy / 40K, but when it was first released (back in the late 70s) it was a roleplaying game magazine and featured D&D.

  71. Zombiepull says:

@Mumperman yea i know. but i think this is a long time ago. a now they are just for Warhammer.
but i personaly would like some D&D infos in the white dwarf ;)

  72. Mumperman says:

@Zombiepull Yeah, I’d prefer to have D&D content in it too. The issue shown is from 1987, but it did have D&D content in it. Check out White Dwarf #85. White Dwarf Magazine actually did have D&D content in the early days. Now it’s just an expensive advertisement for GW product. I’m surprised, though, that they showed White Dwarf but not Dungeon Magazine. Mayhaps the Rocketboom team is showing the extant of their nerdiness?

  73. Zombiepull says:

@Mumperman well.. actuealy im from germany.. and the nummberartion is a little diffrent over her^^

but i knew what you mean.. i love warhammer. but it is just to expensive. :(

  74. SerithValComnion says:

if anything D&D promotes being social. It promotes teamwork, creativity, and mental skills. I hate how every thinks it’s such an ‘evil’ game when it could do wonders for people who would play it. It can be a great way to relieve stress, a creative vent, and a inspiration to draw and write and have a better mind.
