reminds me of the overly-dramatic filipino movies that I mom buys from the bootleg spots. Good to know that campy melodrama movies are something that all cultures take part of

  2. crackthecorn says:

i seen a African movie before it was the most hilarious thing i saw … because i seen better quality from middle school students

  3. johnnytastetest says:

@mikelae19 – Yeah, those are fuckin’ ridiculous, aren’t they? All of the Bollywood music sounds exactly the same to me, too.

  4. johnnytastetest says:

@Accisma – This is true. But to be fair, the only topic their audience really knows how to discuss at length is Molly’s boobs. Heh heh.

  5. sheikinsanity says:

@GreatCommunistEmpire its low budget – and its not like africa is full of stage schools is it? i say its great that african culture is moving into the movie business

  6. zubieta says:

At 2:49 the guy is talking about his movie but it seems the audience don’t care, they just keep talking instead of hearing what the guy has to say…

  7. ashwinkga says:

molly would go crazy reading these comments but i just hope she feels proud and takes it in her stride that people find her so attractive instead of feeling bad about some comments haha talk about mollywood who was the great guy who coined this first lol!

  8. RufftaMan says:

@luckystrke lol, as if you’d ever get the chance to see a movie they produced.. guess you’d actually have to fly to nigeria or get someone to send it to you.. so why the frustration?
i like that they’re making movies! altho the quality discussion is a serious issue =)
being open minded towards different cultures is a good thing since we all share the same planet which is getting “smaller” every decade.

  9. gofightlose says:

:D this makes me happy! It’s exciting to hear of ways that other countries are improving, or able to be more creative, and as always they had to have a place to start, but I definitely think could be on the level of bollywood in just a few years.
and to be honest, I would still rather see a low quality good story movie, than a piece of crap “HD” “unrated” “comedy” that come out in the u.s. every week.

  10. marcuelcajon says:

Looks like Mexican Soap Operas ( Novelas). Pretty cool that they are getting the exposure. Yes amongst all the typical perves who come here just to see Mollys tits and face. Some of us actually pay attention to the subject being promoted.

  11. gamehero77 says:

I’ve been watching these movies since I was little, being from an African family. I’ve always loved the acting and awesome special effects :D

  12. akira357 says:

    0:50 HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    Are you fucking serious ROCKETBOOM?

Its not like we don’t have enough BOMBARDMENT of Morales FORCING US to appreciate Africans…

Haven’t you heard, $800,000 of our tax money are going to Africa to teach them how to keep their balls clean…this is real people I’m not making it up

    Search up “Obama’s genital-washing program”

  13. SteveVader101 says:

@Accisma Truth. It’sinteresting to me that a channel that is nothing but professional even when it is silly ended up with so many viewers/commenters who are so rude. even college humor videos have more constructive threads!

  14. markiduval says:

No films about a Nigerian princess whose husband has died and she needs your bank account details straight away so she can give you some of the money that he left her in his will? I get that script in my email inbox all the time.

  15. hughtub says:

@akira357 Haha so true. I’m sick of having African shit forcefed to us. The clip at :50 is far below even most amateur video in the USA. This is only getting attention because its African and semitical correctness requires we lower our standards and not point out that we’re lowering our standards.

  16. yxuz says:

i find it very ignorant to name people whatever-llywood, as if filmmakers from all over the world are trying to be commercial like Hollywood, which in fact is quite the opposite

  17. GmasterRED says:

What is up with all these cheap Hollywood knock offs. Bollywood. Nollywood. Enough with it already! They mass produce tons and tons of CRAP. I’ve seen this “nollywood” nonsense, they film it with a VHS recorder from the 90s and the story is shit. It’s like home videos, it’s worse than the little skits people do on YouTube.

  18. GmasterRED says:

THIS IS ABSOLUTE SHIT ACTING. The worse acting in the ENTIRE world, ever to exist. Shakespear would kill himself if he saw it.

  19. ReliableInsider says:

    @akira357

Circumcision reduces the risk of the spread of HIV/AIDS. The study you’re talking about looks at the feasibility of public education about men who are uncircumcised washing the area in question after having sexual intercourse with a woman who is or might be HIV+.

The point is to end the AIDS epidemic.

Or maybe you’d rather just adopt one million AIDS orphans. I’ll send ‘em over.

    Why are Republicans so childish?

  20. akira357 says:

@ReliableInsider Yea..because OBVIOUSLY you DON’T get AIDS from unprotected sex
    /sarcasm

It doesn’t matter if you wash your BALL SACK or not dumb ass, if you dumb enough to bang prostitute with no condom and get AIDS…then there’s no going back mother fucker! You can wash your balls till it as white as Michael Jackson and still you gonna stay HIV infected.

That’s why you DON’T adopt African babies that HIV+, adopt one that went through examination.

You fuck heads are so fucking retarded

  21. RocketBoobs says:

    Dear Molly RocketBoobs,

Quantity is not better than quality…Hollywood has been cranking out train loads of crappy movies for 100 years, but no one seems to notice. We just got used to crap. Some crap is marginally less crappy than other crap. But, crap is still crap!

How about a film maker making socially responsible, or spiritually uplifting movies for a change?

  22. bsabruzzo says:

(Warning, this joke may have been told before. It is not strictly original and it is not meant to offend. Read at your own peril)

I wonder if any of their movies were about a wealthy prince who needs help investing his money, so he sends out emails offering several million dollars to any American (or whereever) who can accept it… after a small fee of say, $1000. The drama is, people believe he is a scam, when he is, in fact, genuine. Payoff is he finds true love with the cop who arrests him

  23. SalientK says:

Haha wow, my parents are African and watch these movies all the time. I honestly don’t know what they see in them. The acting is terribly melodramatic in most cases, a lot of the scenes are needlessly drawn out for no reason, and the stories and people are predictable and uninspiring. Not to mention the tacky DVD cases, and the fact that some movies even come on multiple VCDs.

I had no idea that the industry was so big, though. Second to Hollywood? Wow, I thought Bollywood was second. Who knew?

  24. gulllars says:

@Zetaman6666 just wait until they start up online distribution with rates of $1 pr movie (which could work for these low budget films). Then you’ll have a zerg going.

  25. SMERGHEED says:

@PsychedelicVideos and porn is all you will get because women think your a cretin……go have a joint and a crank thrush boy…..

  26. Quusboy says:

Any day now some “nigerian banker” will be sending out e-mails asking you to invest in Nollywood movies. Oh boy, I can’t wait!!! Im turning off all me e-mail spam filters right now!!
