It’s sad to hear about the museum, and but it’s a good turn that the people are united against the goverment and looters for freewill and self-protection. I hope everything turns a better leaf in Ejypt, 30 years of rule is just unfair and without free elections then there is no possibility of progress :(

  2. ROCKzini says:

Have you seen this new awsome Pink Floyd Wish you were her cover?

    If not..

    @senorfatso
I believe its the failure of the public education system, which probably proves the point of the classical liberals on fox.

  4. HannaRocker12 says:

    You people are so stupid.
    You don’t understand what’s happening.
    My dad is in egypt.
    Hee lives there.
You people know NOTHING about what’s happeing

  5. Hombrelobo666 says:

Maybe These outer goverments are finally realizing that nothing seems to stay the same. So in return we all want change.

  6. Jeru3 says:

@3ZPaNH0L Thats like aproving murder, but not aproving the murder of let say native americans.
there is a lot of property damage going on and many will have to live in undeserved poverty afterwards. But I blame Mubark on that one for crushing any opposition which could have managed to bring order in this chaos.

  7. capman911 says:

Now our government wants to give the president of the US the same power to kill the internet if he needs to. I say it is for the same reason as in Egypt. If our country was to rebel against the government then he could shut down the internet an shut down a very big piece of communications between each other. But we have no say so over the ordeal. It’s being done as you read this comment.

  8. ManTheBush says:

The Egyptian President needs to step down, I heard his wife and child/children were in Quebec Canada and they were told to leave. I am Canadian and I do not want a Dictators famialy hiding in my country.

  9. Centribo says:

Molly please talk about UBB (Usage Based Billing) In Canada. It’s basically capping internet use in Canada, where I live, and it’s bullshit.

  10. mini14tx1 says:

Not to be a buzz kill or anything but history has shown that most of these revolutions don’t turn out so well. Only time will reveal whether or not the Egyptians get a better government or something much worse. Unfortunately history tends to suggest the latter.

  11. Bibbly53 says:

Egypt holds one of the most recent links to our ancient history.
It’s an intimidating thought to think it could be destroyed a gone.

  12. Cambenora says:

@senorfatso You’ve got to be kidding me. I’ve been further even more decided to use even go need to do look more as anyone can. Can you really be far even as decided half as much to use go wish for that? My guess is that when one really been far even as decided once to use even go want, it is then that he has really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like. It’s just common sense.

  13. jamiehasnomercy says:

Ive been to that museum in egypt hope it doesnt burn there are some really rare and lovely relics in there!

  14. DSTU1982 says:

@senorfatso Wow how does such a FAIL paragraph have so many thumbs up? That sentence is 5 lines long and is incomprehensible.

  15. hpcwsd says:

Access to the Internet is an example of “Freedom of Speech” …. Mubarak failed again ! GET out of office … 30 yrs? and 82 yr old???? You should be shopping for nursking homes ! not trying to run a country …

  16. sth128 says:

WTF Fox doesn’t have access to Wiki or Google? How do you mix up Iraq and Egypt? They don’t even sound the same! Hell they’re not even on the same continent!

  17. hpcwsd says:

Access to the Internet is an example of “Freedom of Speech” … Mubarak failed again ! in office for 39 yrs and 82 yrs old….. ???? GET OUT OF OFFICE NOW !!!!!

  18. theflorgeormix says:

hair splitting issue -freedom, what kind of freedom – equality and justice hopefully or Stability so the riches of Egypt can benefit its people and the World yet cronyish

  19. derekcolman says:

@Centribo . Would this not promote the start up of new ISPs who do not apply UBB, and could therefore steal the entire market from those that do? I believe that my present ISP here in the UK is against the idea if and when the government allows it here, which they propose to do. At present they supply free 16MB, with 40GB monthly download limit, broadband to their landline phone customers, and phone charges are the same as others. That deal suits me well.

  20. gulllars says:

@kidpop23 It would be great if they did a Four Loko episode every weekend, not about the drink, but what stuff you decide to do when drinking it with friends/co-workers. RocketBoom Loko!

  21. ace1122tw says:

“When the government fears the people there is liberty; when the people fear the government there is tyranny.” – Thomas Jefferson

  22. s8ntmark says:

…and Thomas Jefferson basically said that a periodic revolution, “at least once every 20 years,” was “a medicine necessary for the sound health of government.”

  23. chronoporter says:

Fire in the streets of Cairo, fire in the government buildings. What about FIRE IN THE DISCO?! FIRE IN THE TACO BELL?

  24. RocketBoobs says:

    Dear Molly RocketBoobs,

Viva Che! Viva Che! Viva Che! (oops, wrong revolution. Oh well, one successful revolution deserves another. Every evil dictator needs to get overthrown. How about the World Bank next?)

Keep up the good work, baby!

  25. frankylovesyall says:

And this is why we all got on board with the Iranians when they raged about their fixed election and rioted? Oh wait… that’s different, right? Dance puppets. Dance.

  26. formless777 says:

Egypt, please don’t wreck your museums. Wreck your dictatorship by all means, but not your irreplaceable cultural assets.

  27. GmasterRED says:

How about a video about the bill that was introduced that would give the president access to an “internet kill switch”?

  28. GmasterRED says:

    @sterlingman
Funny how it was mostly westerners protecting the museum.
Eat a dick, cunt. Westerners are like parents for the rest of the world, pulling them out of squabbles and protecting their people.

  29. YoshiIkagawa says:

@shawnwoolsey117 Egypt is west of all of those countries, on the other side of The Red Sea. It’s the north-eastern most country in Africa.

  30. astrozier1 says:

@GmasterRED yeah i hate that i mean we do not need internet control he is just mad that we have exposed the healthcare bill via internet

  31. GR1o6180339887498948 says:

no internet is a bad idea, people want more freedom and you give them less, it’s as if you want a cool gadget but they give you iPad

  32. gladiatormohaa says:

The Egyptians think they have it bad now…wait till they put The Muslim Brotherhood in command. That’s when the shit will hit really the fan taking Egypt to the dark ages while making gas 15 bucks a gallon, being how the Brotherhood would control both sides of the Suez.

  33. michalchik says:

@gladiatormohaa So what do you know about the Muslim brotherhood and what makes you think it will be in control if Mubarak is thrown out?

  34. michalchik says:

@GmasterRED What makes you think westerners are guarding the museum? Those were Egyptian police and women wearing headscarves.

  35. Gothtecdotcom says:

The Egypt situation is a very very bad thing, yes support a political change, but look at the facts and having a rehash of Afganistan will make matters worse…
Swapping a moderate dictatorship for a islamic fundamentist dictatorship is not good for the west or any one the millions of women and non-muslims in Egypt…

  36. woody500z says:

Just wait until the Western Zionist controlled government switches of the net in Western countries.

Whites should of never introduced our technology and way of life to non-whites, all it has done is cause problems and a shit storm.

  37. Stripdancer100 says:

I totally agree with the last sentence. Excellent words!
That’s why it’s most probably Islamic extremists who are going to take over in Egypt, Tunisia and Yemen.
Had those tyrants had a bit of grey matter, they would have done something better than to hopelessly cling to power.
That’s why a lot of pundits see Russia’s future years really grim, Mr. Putin being too afraid to lose everything to resign.
Molly, you are just perfect :-)

  38. FindYourself108 says:

god bless people of Egypt, today there are more than million Egyptians at the Tahrir Square, getting ready to hear the news about kicking Mubarak’s ass of presidency chair.
30 years is enough, new dictator Sphinx.

  39. Stripdancer100 says:

Sometimes it just occurs to me how amazing it is that Molly has never had to live from hand to mouth in a poor country like Egypt, that she can live it up being a well-off citizen of the world who spends a lot of time in various cool places in cities like London, Vancouver or New York. Molly is wonderful and she deserves the best life the world can give her :-)

  40. Quizoid says:

@hpcwsd “Freedom of Speech” is by no means a global value. Many countries purposefully lack freedom of speech to one degree or another.

  41. xhyugunx says:

@woody500z Without “non-white” technology, there wouldn’t be any “white” technology. You…are…ignorant..

  42. httprover says:

It’s obvious that there’s a lot of unrest in Egypt. The focus is on the ouster of Mubarak. The question is how to do this properly. A vote requires democratic institutions in place & actions by the existing government.Overthrow of the government would require some group to seize power and that would raise questions of its legitimacy. Mobs cannot claim to speak for the people & resort to violence raises questions of their ability to rule. Should Mubarak empower the people’s representatives?

  43. httprover says:

What are Mubarak’s options right now? 1.) Empower or request the Egyptian Legislature to act? 2.) Take the matter under advisement? 3.) Call for a Constitutional Convention? 4.) Take steps to put down a rebellion? 5.) All of the above? 6.) None of the above?

  44. skeletonlord2126 says:

@2PaperTigers it’s just you. Wikileaks is only interested in major politics, and not in your personal data. Unlike some US laws, e.g. the special spying devices.

  45. foxyd3 says:

@2PaperTigers How the hell did you come up with that one? Big Brother controlled the world’s people’s lives. Wikileaks just gives information to the people so that we may know the information that our governments are hiding. Is it just me, or does our modern governments seem like Big Brother? Considering The U.S. government can actually listen in on our phone conversations, what we say on the internet, etc….I would say that you have your ideals a bit backwards.

  46. 2PaperTigers says:

@skeletonlord2126 Every government is the right to keep certain information secret. Those who do not practice at least some sort of secrecy will be subject to nations that do.

  47. ReliableInsider says:

How is it possible that people at Fox “News” don’t know where Egypt is.

The location of the Nile and the pyramids is pretty much the only thing most Americans know about Africa. If Fox “News” doesn’t even know that, why are they on the air?

As some sort of party mouthpiece slash PR spokesman slash defense attorney?

  48. 2PaperTigers says:

@foxyd3 Wikileaks selectively leaks information it sees fit. Otherwise why is Julian holding, or threatening to leak information about news corp? I use to like the idea. But now that i read up more about it wikileaks is starting to get political instead of just leaking everything it has. Its selective leaks. I presume blackmail is not too far off in the distance.

  49. artvandelay13 says:

ITS. ITS effect on the country’s internet access.

Come on, whoever writes the description for these videos…

  50. GmasterRED says:

    @Trollercopter
Why are you being partisan? This is not about fucking political parties. And It was introduced by an independent.
Second, no matter whose bill it is, the president is the one who ends up with the power. No one is going to force him to take more power.

  51. GmasterRED says:

    @Trollercopter
I’m blaming the PRESIDENT, which is where the blame lies, not a particular party.
You and everyone else needs to stop with partisan bullshit when there is so much at stake.
It’s the presidents responsibility no matter what party he is.

  52. foxyd3 says:

@2PaperTigers I could they not get to the point of holding back certain information? I would be doing the same thing if I were in his position, they are getting threats from the most powerful (yet corrupt as hell) governments in the world. I don’t know about you, but I would start taking careful footsteps as well. In that context, yes, their change of game-plan makes perfect sense. Although, you, on the other hand, seem to have lost your head.

  53. WOWJBEOWULF says:

The violent problems of Egypt is feeding the violent Islamic group the Muslim Brotherhood, we are going to see more murders as we see the bloody path of the Jihad manifest more ignorance and blindness.

  55. ZillieZephyr says:

@hackneo64 You disrespect the face of anonymous by attempting to parody a one-sided newscasts name. Choose wiser spelling, as “Faux” and “Fox” are very opposing forces.

  56. WOWJBEOWULF says:

According to the national news, the Egyptian military has intervened in the looting of the historical museums, that decapitated two mummies, because it is an international tourism site and brings in money. Vandalism is one fear, as several years ago one of the mummy’s penis disappeared (no joke) and we see fetishes on the mummy lore. Meanwhile, the Islamic the Muslim Brotherhood has declared this is the time to attack Israel from Egypt–New Jerusalem Post.

  57. woody500z says:

@xhyugunx Please, show me one great stride in man kind, made by a non-whites (Besides East Asians). Please, i beg you.

  58. Rosendrache says:

International community wanted to shut down internet for Serbia in 90s, even it was the only communication line with outer world for common people who had nothing with regime. Free speech and human rights you say, yeah right…….

  59. gothicmuffinofdoom says:

I didn’t expect Rocket boom to make a video about this.
The way molly broke the news made me smile, especially that the real situation is far from funny.
PS: I’m an Egyptian RocketBoom fan :)

  60. woody500z says:

@effyleven Don’t forget that is a theory, even if it where true, which it most likely is, we evolved off them, and something changed in us for the better.

  61. effyleven says:

@woody500z “Better?!” Huh! You don’t know much about Evolution, do you? It isn’t always forwards, you know. The only “better” there is in evolved individuals, is “better survivability” in a changed environment. Indeed, it is a mistake to think there is any kind of “plan” behind evolution…. that’s theist thinking, and has nothing to do with how evolution works.

Also, be aware that theories stand ABOVE FACTS in the intellectual hierarchy, because they explain WHY the facts are as they are.

  62. Unit06JAW says:

Its amazing how much news crews fuck up with countries.
Ive seen a news report saying that iceland was in central Europe.

  63. DonAnonimus says:

I’d recommend Rocketboom begins putting up the sources where they get their information. I have yet to find one trusted news source that supports the claim that there are cables that say the U.S. helped the rebellion.

  64. OgreVI says:

Seriously? Fox doesn’t even know where it is? I mean, it’s Egypt. Look for where the really big river hits the REALLY big inland sea. How hard is that?

  65. woody500z says:

@effyleven Yes, we changed for the BETTER, we learned how to cooperate in groups, and use our brains in ways Africans couldn’t in the past, and still cant today.

African achievements in the world – ?? Peanut butter?
European achievements in the world – Just about every thing
East Asian achievements in the world – Everything else Europeans didn’t do.

Even though South Americans invented peanut better long before, ill give it to them, they need something right?

  66. effyleven says:

@woody500z Don’t be daft! The blooming DOLPHINS think they are better than us because they DIDN’T invent nuclear weapons… and just spend all day frolicking around in the water and having a good time…. and, to be fair, they’ve got a good point. Hey! You need a BETTER idea of what’s “better,” mate!

  67. bsabruzzo says:

Hmmm, that map from FoxNew is interesting. Though it is from 2009 and there is no context to indicate whether it was shown once or multiple time (my guess is once).

Now if MSNBC pundit Chris Matthews can place the Panama Canal in the Middle East (January 2011) and not admit to his error, I think this graphic (probablly made by an intern) that is 2 years old gets a pass.

  68. bsabruzzo says:

@conglomerate8 Did what happen on Glenn Beck’s show? The map from 2009? I don’t know. Let’s test your reading comprehension and research skills.

Okay on the bottom of the screen, in the lower right corner, you see the words “Live Desk” (okay, it’s on the lower 3rd ID, but close). Now let’s look up what “Live Desk” is.

Okay, that was a show that ran at 1pm to 3pm in 2008 to Jan of 2010 (you can tell by the HD in the corner).

    Beck’s show is at 5pm.

    Time to tell time.

  69. bsabruzzo says:

@MikeAvenger08 “leave it to FOX to teach everyone some simple geography…”

You mean like “the Panama Canal is in Egypt”? Oh, wait, that was Chris Matthews on MSNBC.

Maybe it was that the US has 57 states? No, that was President Obama.

I think we can agree that errors happen to humans.

  70. woody500z says:

@effyleven Nuclear weapons isn’t out only great invention, how about strives in medical research, saving MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of lives, space travel etc etc etc.

So when a dolphin travels out to space, using technology they have created, come talk to me.

And i just figured out why you like dolphins so much, they have about the same amount of achievements as the Negro race. What great fantasizing creatures they both are. =)

  71. effyleven says:

@woody500z You ignorant, and you are a racist… but, more than being an ignorant racist, you are SO UNCOOL! :-)

    Bye bye, Uncool Ignorant Racist!

  72. HomunculusProject says:

@woody500z So, you will willingly castrate yourself if we find out that your linage accomplished less than others?
You are Australian, right? Looking bad for you…

  73. woody500z says:

@HomunculusProject How? White Australians have achieved alot in our short time.

In the short history since European settlement Australia could well lay claim to being the most inventive people per head of population on earth. The world would be a different place without the Black Box Flight Recorder, the Bionic Ear, the electric drill, commercial refrigeration, latex gloves and a whole host of other inventions which have changed lives across the globe.

  74. HomunculusProject says:

@woody500z The basis of all that science/economy came from Europe, USA and partially Asia.
So, it being dependent for rather long as part of the Commonwealth, your argumentation is kinda weak.

While it is true that also parts of Africa were also parts, it is well known that the black community was oppressed by the early racial theories. And since then, Africa has been systematically exploited. And nobody denies that.

Pinning someone down and keeping him pinned down doesn’t mean he can’t walk.

  75. woody500z says:

@effyleven You got proven wrong and cant handle the truth.

Cyah later, you piss weak ultra-homosexual who cant handle the truth.

  76. woody500z says:

@HomunculusProject Ahhh, here we go, another blame the white man. Seriously, i am not going to bother to argue with you, i was once like you, until i realized the truth. I also realized 90% of you are mentally retarded, and even when facts are presented, you will deny them and completely ignore the facts and truths, all because you are scared to be labeled a “racist” and are drowning in your own white guilt etc, etc, etc.

Have a nice day, and i hope your children don’t follow your views.

  77. HomunculusProject says:

@woody500z It isn’t something about “blaming someone or guilt”. It is simple history. Not to mention that you can’t simply ignore the entire humanistic philosophy and simply impose some kind of “hierarchy” based on practical systems and models.
There are no facts to present and if there were, it wouldn’t really make a difference.

But I agree that there is no pint in debating this again. Let’s just hope that our kids are intelligent enough not to take sides.
