Why didn’t the history of NYC include the massive destruction that took place when King Kong got loose back in the 1930s?

I would like to know when the “Escape from New York” is going to start now that the tax laws have been changed?

How many New Yorkers are going to leave and where are they going to go?

Are people organizing wagon trains and heading west? north? south? or east?

Clever mixing of old Pathe Newsreel footage and modern footage. I wonder if that voice is all original to the original version of this I vaguely remember or another clever fake?

Ok, let’s call it almost-subliminal, or after-all-not-so-subliminal insert.
The retinal impression is effective, though.
Now that I think of it it could be a good vehicle to spread memes.

Aww.. I thought you were going to give a history lesson! :-)
As a Belgian I love to hear about the founding of NY, most people forget that in the 17th century, when Europe started colonizing intensively, the Dutch founded ‘Nova Belgica’ on the spot Manhattan lies today. ;-)

Question to New Yorkers: do you get teached about those things?
I often wonder what image people from abroad get from our country, hence. :)

Without a constant mass influx of fresh water and electricity from the north (New York State), the city would equate to a cesspool sinkhole.

Other than that: did you hear anything about a ‘Flanders House’ opening in NYC a few weeks ago? There was quite some commotion about it in Belgium because Flanders is only a federation and no country on its own, and the place they hired for it was quite expensive..
