Cringe is the same sort of thing as Mortified, and I think they do gatherings/shows/whatever-they-should-be-called in the UK, too. There’s also a books out called ‘Cringe’ as well, which is the same sort of thing. I had to skip the poetry section because it was making me cringe so much!

Not just cute. Cute, smart (make that very smart ), sweet, geeky… Molly is what nerdy guys would like all cute girls to be. You can imagine Molly greeting you with hes customary big welcoming smile “Hi, I’m Molly!” instead of a look of “as if, loser!” . Of course, most beautiful girls are not cruel and superficial like that ( though they are pressured to act dumb ), but many viewers of Rocketboom don’t know that. Still, a sweet, smart girl with an enthusiasm for all things geeky is a rare find. So much so that she wouldn’t have to be that gorgeous. They are out there, folks!

If she were not the very essence of eloquent, beautimous geekitude, why would we even bother to watch her every day, much less write stupid comments about her?
I can appreciate that you would take offense at our somewhat indignant insistence that an episode about Oxymorons be produced. However, we have asked very politely, and been promised, and too date, no such episode is forthcoming, in spite of numerous friendly reminders. We just want what was promised, that’s all.
Take offense? Being offended by anything published in an internet forum is foolish, most of it is written by attention seeking teenage boys who want to sound tough without consequences ( ever been to 4chan? ). I am just saying that, regardless of what was previously promised, probably with the best intention, insisting won’t make a difference. Molly may not have as much control over content as she thought, or who knows what. You’re just teaching her to never be nice or generous again, which is a shame. And a derogative nickname or a dismissive comment about her work is only going to make any girl, any one really but specially any girl, less likely to bend to your will. Basic psychology, basic social skills…
Your request was not indignant: it was equal parts arrogant and rude. Just so you know. They probably no longer read anything past the word “oxymoron”, anyway. Indignation implies entitlement and no one really owes you anything. These girls have an audience to mind, some sort of editorial line and special requests to follow.
