Let’s see if I got it well: there is a fierce rivalry between the people who live in the Brooklyn Bridge neighbour and those who live in the Manhattan Bridge neighbour, and every group sticks to the smallest pretext to claim “Our bridge is cooler than yours!”, thus commissions, celebrations, memorials, parades and so on, and so forth, and so on… If so, Ella is really nice but she only caught a glimpse of the real matter.
