in order to gain more interest/funds etc NASA should do a lottery where people give on the internet their personal info, or a short message, and then NASA takes 100 of them to write them in a sand on Mars/Moon and everything is recorded and ppl can see their names in the outer space and stuff. that would be brilliant way to increase popularity of space flights.

I don’t know if you ever watched Cronkite…he was actually the Voice against Military, Industrial and Congressional Complex. His honest reflection on Vietnam brought down a President. He was the voice of American grief after the Kennedy assassination and the heart of excitement during the Apollo program. Before you crucify anyone, I suggest you get your facts straight.
That goo off the north coast of Alaska is wierd. It’s “Filamentous algae” found in the Chukchi Sea but it’s origins are unknown. With all the ice melting in the Arctic Ocean a bad science fiction plot might claim that it is ancient algae which survived frozen in the ice and has been ‘reanimated”. Let’s hope it’s not a killer algae bloom.
(Maybe that stuff will eventually end up as oil someday.)

The famous report about the Tet Offensive in 1968 was just the aknowledgement that the US military wasn’t going to win to war. Which by then every less than stupid observer knew full well. Not one word, from Walter, that the US military was carrying on a genocide in the Asian country, by using napalm and orange agent on a defenseless population.
And that’s the way it is.
I would like to propose to make new cast for rocketboom news reader. News were good but way she did them was awful. Irony and parody is good but between the lines she was insulting nerds who really care and really like rocketboom. Maybe this “whatever-ism” is characteristic of age but I DONT like to see it in rocketboom.

I don’t think Molly is insulting nerds. You just don’t get her comedic style. In fact, she IS a nerd and was part of a collaboration channel “Hot For Nerds”.
Molly exudes intelligence and has a great sense of comedic timing. That combo can be hard to find. She’s also GORGEOUS and has a killer accent (I’m from the U.S.) Usually I scoff at the Barbie and Ken newscasters who most certainly wouldn’t have their jobs were it not for their good looks. But Molly is adept at what she does — especially given that Rocketboom is not meant to be taken with gravitas. This is one of the few cases where I find the presenter’s looks enhance instead of detract.
