While I’m waiting for the official announcement as to why she’s leaving, I can’t help but remember that Amanda had said that RocketBoom was great because it had a more personal air to it than other mainstream media. But now when I think of RocketBoom all I can think of is executive decisions, business, power, strategies (Perhaps Amanda herself was to blame as well; no matter it’s all the same.)
I’ll be patient. Give us a good answer. Don’t tell me RocketBoom is just another fairy tale.

I started seeing this show in 2006, i will miss Joanne a lot, but i hope the show continues with great humor and quality.
It appeared there, for a moment, that this was merely an April 17 prank. But, as the cruel hours set in and the unrequited love pleas went unanswered, went unanswered, we collectively went through the stages of despair : disbelief, denial, dejection, detachment, disgust, derrangement, drugs, and finally demand.
Surely there are some solicitors among our movement. One of us, 400 strong and growing, can craft the proper entreaty to her everythingness. We’ll start polite. No need to bring the authorities in unless Joanne plays a cold shoulder. These early “voluntary” negotiations we’ll be quite civil. What does Joanne require to remain at RocketBoom? Better Lighting? More prominent hits on Google? Larger production budget? Higher salary? Better merchandising? An obituary in Soap Box Digest? A meeting with the Queen? A Webby award? All of these can be arranged; they are a small price to pay to get our Joanne back. No, you shouldn’t have had to ask. Like most people, Joanne was the Super-Star that made me start watching RocketBoom. It’s easy to understand that incredible talent like Joanne would finally hit the big-time and leave the small-time venue of internet video. Has she been bumped upstairs at Sony?
