For those who have not heard: Gawker is reporting that Joanne has left RB.
Earlier this week a commenter who works at the UN spotted her there, snogging some swarthy guy, and claimed to have seen her name on a directory of employees there.
Oh well.
I tried posting a note to this effect in the comments yesterday but it simply would not appear. The third time I tried, the system told me I was posting a duplicate comment and stuffed me.
Um, technical error?
I’ve been a fan of RB for a long time. The content is good and the comments board has been a fine place to rant. Even the departure of the first host, who happens to be a friend of mine, did not dissuade me.
But like my cyber-bro from the Big Island above, I am waiting for this vlog to get back on its feet. Get well soon!
Gawker reported something like that last spring.
I was surprised at the report of the UN sighting and subsequent investigation. I swear I saw her that very night on the arm of a hippie looking type while riding my bike home from the bar. I banged a U-ie and rode back calling out, “Joanne! Joanne! It’s me, Ook!” But they hurried away.

Of course, the day that I watch Scratch (which is a turntablism documentary that I was inspired to download because it was sampled in one of Bassnectar’s mixes which everybody should go download for free) Rocketboom goes and has an A/V sampling, beatboxing, hip hop, mashup episode.
I swear, it’s all clicks and whistles these days… zigga zigga zigga zigga…
The eternal return is not musical because the iterative structures would not be superimposed and overlapping. This looks like more a hip-hop patterned universe, all beats and loops. More varied, but in the end just as boring. I’d take a better composer as universal Mind.

Don’t be too down. I saw him about 5 years ago and was extremely disappointed. The only time he got the audience excited was when he handed out ….er I mean…played “Cocaine”.
I’ve read that touring disagrees with him.

Just we are on reruns… in RB archives there’s a video called “Music in the park” which is priceless, and “awesome” (in tuber’s parlance). Now, that is a real example of cosmic musicality, though the basic assumption seems to be finite time and finite space (thus a little sad).
