Problems will still be there when they get back. How about fixing the system instead of this one sparkle of happiness..

1/3 of women in the 25-29 years old segment have aids.

That huge arena there looked like shit. What a waste by an incompetent regime.

Religion is very easy to suggest to these guys..Like that dude with “I *heart* Jesus” cap said “Hope is very important, if we give up hope we might as well die”.
It’s easier to live in these shitty coniditons if in the back of your head you believe that if you just live this live honestly and modestly, you will go to heaven..
Also exactly the reason why goverments try to force religion onto people..It makes controlling them waaaaay easier.

@ModeLTU I hear a lot of anti religon thrown around now days, i used to be christian, but i still support what they do, because there the only people pulling the hard yards for hope that someone worse off then them can become better…. just saying, you not eat for a week, give all that food to people you don’t know, put in more money then what you thought you can, go to work, but then spend all your spare time helping these people become stronger. THEN you can say religion isn’t doing any good.

@HaydenHatTrick Well, we are supposed to do good things and help each other because we can and we are smart enough to do it, NOT because an invisible guy in the sky will reward us if we do these good deeds..
To a certain degree christian organizations DO help ppl, but considering how much money church cashes-in every year, it’s still just a big scam, giving people false hope and feeding of their fear of dying..

@ModeLTU I don’t think you really understand why people participate in religion. people don’t go around thinking how much karma points you can score by doing something good. religious people do good things because they have been taught that its the right thing to do. there’s a huge amount of empathy poured into religion and so because they’ve been taught to do so, Christians and Buddhists ext. feel like they need to do things to end others suffering. not because for self redemption.

I think this is amazing. This is love of a game, not just a career. And I think this kind of passion and drive is what is missing from the world cup so far!

    @bb0xx It’s called Shosholoza.
    lyrics (not sure on spelling)

    Shosholoza, shosholoza
    Kulezontaba
    Stimela Sphuma South Africa
    Wenu Yabaleka
    Wenu Yabaleka,
    Kulezontaba
    Stimela Sphuma South Africa

Shosholoza was a sad song sung by people during hard labour.
English translation: Move faster, You are meandering on those mountains, The train is from South Africa. You accelerate, on those mountains, The train is from South Africa. Shosholoza means Go forward or Make way for the next man

Not trying to be offensive just stating something

Wouldn’t it not be surprising that they’re homeless because a lot of Africa is in poverty?

@justinlovespastry I’m not sure of what your trying to say. Every country that was there had homeless players, thus showing homelessness is a problem all over the world not just Africa. Of course the world knows Africa has a majoir problem with homelessness but their not the only ones.

Homeless world cup? I don’t get it. Why not solve the problem of homelessness? Why do people need to be homeless?
