I had XP for about 3 years, but my new laptop came with Vista and it’s great! I don’t know why people think it’s a crap OS. It does everything it’s supposed to, it does everything XP did, and even makes a few refinements–not just graphcally.

It may be technically a downgrade, but it’s an upgrade when the previous OS beats the current OS (but again, if you want to get technical, the middle OS between 7 and XP). I have the Vista disc and never installed it. I still have XP on my PC, but I use my Mac more. :) Macs FTW!.. Minus in gaming and price. =/

There were major issues and a lack of third party drivers for pre Vista Equipment and programs for like a year. Regardless of that MOSTLY ALL OF IT was still compatible save for some huge ones that should have pulled their own weight. Like the sound codec used in Call of Duty II fe. just WOW. Seriously.
