Quite the contrary. I find the technology interesting. Its the application that I find rather boring. But, of course, every good technology has to start by doing something pointless so that someone can find a really fantastic application. I expect to see CNN using this type of technology in the future.

Looks like Molly has been sucked into an augmented reality vortex after only 2 episodes. Dem are the breaks in the fast (slow) lane of Rocketboom.
If the brain power for the fruition of something is just a small fraction of the brain power required for its creation, there’s no art. The gap between the creator and the user is too wide. Art is empowering, and the “World series of Tubing” isn’t empowering anybody. At best it’s funny.
So much for the word “artist”, tied to the names of the two interviewees. To date they may have done a lot of things to deserve that title, but not “The world series of Tubing”.
When the Augmented Reality will enhance my perception to the point that I can trascend my limited self, and think differently, perceive differently, feel differently, then came back to me and let’s talk art.

Augmented Reality is better defined as any situation where a computer is augmenting our view of reality, overlaying things in a realistic way, to combined virtual and real reality.
The goal here should really be to eliminate markers entirely. Otherwise it’s not realistic, and not mass marketable.
