And can i know what 720p stands for?
I assume this is what you mean.
720p, HD video resolution format.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/720p
win.!
interesting (:
the quality
I love you molly :3
shit quality is shit
I am not an art heist!
@abigor315 when you upload a video it is in low quality for the first hour or so, maybe less, it takes a while for youtube to make it high quality and give it a HD option
@ciuzhiss when you upload a video it is in low quality for the first hour or so, maybe less, it takes a while for youtube to make it high quality and give it a HD option
@eliten0Ob that’s the lowest available resolution of HD
Artheism?
its the reselution of the video, 720 means that the video is made of 720 lines of pixles going across, 1080 means 1080 lines and SD is about 540 lines. Thats why HD is beter quality, because its made of more lines/ pixles.
Is that what you were asking for?
hmmmmmm i wanna heist so badly now
i do want
:D:D
Why is everybody complaining about the fact that this video’s not in HD? It looks fine to me as it is.
molly’s packing on the pounds!
Obviously because the quality doesn’t do justice to Molly’s beauty.
when i first saw the title i thought it was Artheists… like is that some new kind of atheist or something?
boobs
you guys are stupid, she looks great
Molly,
1. where do you get the inspiration for your amazingly random selection of ideas?
2. how do you earn a living from making these videos?
Hell yeah! I was about to post something about another youtube crush :)
Hitler stole art too.
nice one :-)
rip off
Thanks, Molly
Wow, is that true about bein legal owners of paintings you stole after 30 years? That’s pretty amazing
Molly = awesome
I was wondering about that too. I wonder why there’s such a law like that, probably originated from back when countries stole art from each other.
@TheMegaJet i told that guy that 720p means the quality…
you pronounced nearly every artists’ name wrong. well done
Sorry, not everyone is an elitist faggot like you.
FYI she has an accent. lole
I hope noone finds out it was me who stole those paintings at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.
as a norwegian, I feel obligated to say this, as you mentioned norway and sweden:
SCANDINAVIA FTW!!! :D
They interesting story of the Saliera (was one of the top ten art crimes) wasn’t mentioned. :(
I love molly. were getting married in march
really great / interesting video. cheers rockbottom / molly.
Cool. Maybe I should steal some old paintings since it is so easy to get them.
Yeah norway!! We are so cool!
F**ck sweden…
wow, trudde eg var den einaste frå norge som såg på rocketboom:-P
jepp vi eige:-P
yey NORWAY!!!
that was a good one!!
Å nei nei! Norge er alle steder!
LIES!
enig
Informative. Thanks again, Molly.
what odds, it’s all about experience and, well, not leaving anything to luck
I’ve watched your videos for years Molly, and always thought you had it, but everyday you impress me more!
@Falcon1499 : I think you’ve just got your H on for her. All these fake comments =P
Just jokes.
Molly’s nipples at 0:12??? lol
An art heist is an atheist with an “R”.
i actually love rocketboom
Nice that molly is back to rocketboom
I confess I stole the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum artwork.
the best daily video in a while!
Racist…… Do I have your permission to repeat it?
Stealing works of art is a crime!
(They deserve better treatment than being in the hands of thieves.)
Does this mean if you stole someone’s heart 30 years ago you can return to the scene of the crime of passion and claim ownership?
…you wouldn’t want to after seeing what her ass looks like. Minnie’s looks the same as the day she was born.
Granted
I can’t help it. She drives me crazy!! =)
Molly is specialising in curses. First the sweater curse, now the art heist curse. If the next will be the Tutankhamon curse she can file to be licensed as official jinx.
No, don’t do Tutankhamon’s.
What are the odds if the work is a sculpture and you sell it for scrap iron? Remember the Henry Moore heist in 2005?
that girl is so fucking cute!
i hate her fucking voice so much, fucking lisp
and i love it
thanks Captain Obvious.
She doesn’t lisp. :S
I’m not familiar with this joke, or maybe it’s not one to be familiar with?
The joke was just “art heist is atheist with an R in it” I found it funny because it touches on conspiracy theory bullshit and racism. I had to use it
I hope i marry someone that good looking. British accents are a huge turn on. Oh yeah, sucks to be an artist but i mean it happens all the time with music and movies. Is it different seeing a digital replica or the real thing?
Haha, right, for a moment there I thought I missed some sort of reference. Sorry for my dullness, recovering from yesterday. Imogen Heap, cool.
Dear Molly RocketBoobs,
Great story, Molly! Very well researched, scripted and edited. Bravo!
By the way, the Vermeer painting stolen from the Boston Museum is a painting that includes Vermeer’s good friend, Anthony Van Leeuwenhoek, who is the inventor of the microscope, and a noted microbiologist. Here is a detailed description of the painting and it’s content, quoted from my book, “VERMEER: PORTRAITS OF A LIFETIME”.
TITLE: THE MUSIC LESSON
oil on canvas
28 7/8 x 25 3/8 in. (73.3 x 64.5 cm.)
Catharina and my life-long friend and neighbor, Anthony Van Leeuwenhoek, shortly after we moved into the house of Maria Thins. He visited us frequently over the years: sometimes to see me, for my professional and intellectual relationship, and more often to visit the girls with whom he shared an enthusiasm for music. He was, in every way, a gentleman. It seemed that he was successful at everything he attempted, both as an investigator, designer of scientific instruments and glass lenses, and as a practical, no-nonsense businessman.
Anthony was exactly my age, (baptized at the Nieuwe Kerk in the same month and the same year), born only a few hundred yards away, near the fish market, on the western end of the Marketplace in Delft. We had other similarities in our lives: our fathers were both in the fabric trade, and member of the Guild of St. Luke. His only surviving daughter was also named Maria. She did not marry, but took care of him until his death.
Anthony was curious about everything. He was as keen an observer of nature and innovator of technology as I, myself, have been given credit for in the advancement of painting. He certainly influenced me own work in a significant way. It was he who introduced the camera obscura, and taught me the fundamentals of it’s uses. He built one for me, and several times modified it for my purposes.
Reflected in the mirror shown in the painting of “The Music Lesson” is the easel, part of the artist’s stool, the wall behind him, and a small wooden box, which is the portable camera obscura.
Neither of us thought it especially remarkable at the time, as my use of the camera was an interesting extension of his own experiments with light and lenses. He could never have applied it’s use to my ends, as he had no skills of painting, any more than I could have ground a lens to fit a microscope. Nonetheless, the cumulative results were important to future generations.
My daughters spent many occasions with Anthony, learning and practicing music. He was as patient and meticulous with music, as with his scientific interests. I can’t recall that he ever played an instrument, but he helped the girls learn how to play for him.
I have a very good feeling about him, and am honored to have known him, where ever he may be today.
The unique virginal instrument being played in this painting is one owned by friends and neighbors in Delft, Constantijn Huygens and his wife Suzanne, whose portraits are shown here. Constantijn was very instrumental in making scientific and artistic introductions to me on intermittent occasions.
Huygens was not only a musical composer, and poet, but the owner of a camera obscura. He was also an enthusiastic champion of Antony’s work with microscopes, as well as the wonders of the camera obscura, of which he was already very well informed before either Anthony and I was born, as he wrote in a letter to his parents from London in 1622:
“It is impossible to describe to you the beauty of it in words: all painting is dead by comparison, for here is life itself, or something more noble, if only there were words for it”.
Fortunately, painting was not yet dead, and remains marginally alive today, in spite of digital photography and high definition video!
Thoughtful and eloquent. However, just let me say that, brevity being the soul of wit, as it is……
first.
What’s Jenna Bush doing on Rocketboom and why does she have a British accent?
just another variable i have to consider now in my painting robberies = (

If I art heisted my local gallery I doubt I could sell the entire contents for more than $10,000, lol.
If thieves sell their stolen paintings they most likely will be caught.
Thanks for crushing my felonious dreams, Molly!
The sheer number of copyrighted photos, video clips and sounds that a typical rocketboom episode contains is phenomenal. Wonder if they every pay for using any of them?
Nice little history of art heists!
fair use fair use fair use
”the bigest heist in the world… evah!!
evarr.
@formless777 …it all depends where you live..lol
id just steal 100 famous artworks and set them on fire to mess with people
meh I stole the “nachtwacht” by Rembrandt and peed on it just for the lulz
At 1:56 when Molly’s saying “8 men in custody, paintings returned.” You can just tell she’s thinking ‘It was I who stole those paintings and framed those fools. The paintings they recovered were mere copies.’ Or something like that.

Ah The Thomas Crown Affair.good movie.I’ll show you a drawing nobody will heist.
you’re a piece of work.
So that’s where my henchmen went…
wtf, seriously
Your grammar isn’t.
dont ever correct grammar, it makes you look like a douche, especially when you comprehended the message, which is the purpose of communication. language is just a medium, a constantly evolving one and as much i hate seeing internet leet speak, constant misspellings and slang its part of that evolution. what we speak today is basically broken english, more so if you speak “american english” notice i dont capitalize it’s to weed out pretentious linguists
i want to be your boyfriend
thank’e'u!!
I agree with you to an extent.
There are certain situations that call for more precise grammar.
For instance writing.
If you write for a paper, or book you definitely want to be precise so that the message isnt misconstrued.
But if you are merely talking to someone, then yes, rules of grammar are far more loose.
But you dont want to let speech slip too far either.
You want to keep your own sense of grammar somewhat sharp so you can always articulate your ideas.
Sure, and let’s stop cooking our foods, because bacteria makes the immune system stronger.
I reckon that’s a good idea. Silly asthma kids!!
I love this, where do you guys get the idea to research ‘art heists’. Keep up the good work
